About City
Sochi is a main Russian sea-resort city, located on the Black Sea
coast near the border between Georgia/Abkhazia and Russia.
The Greater Sochi area, which includes territories and localities subordinated
to Sochi proper, has a total area of 3,526 square kilometers and sprawls
for 145 kilometers along the shores of the Black Sea near
the Caucasus Mountains.
Being part of the Caucasian Riviera, it is one of the very few places in Russia
with a subtropical climate, with warm to hot summers
and mild winters.

Sochi is usually called a Southern Capital of Russia.

are hold here annually.
With the alpine and Nordic events held at the nearby ski resort of Roza Khutor
in Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi hosted the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI
Paralympic Winter Games in 2014, as well as the Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix
from 2014 until at least 2020. It will also be one of the host cities for the
2018 FIFA World Cup.

The biggest yacht port in Russia
Sochi Grand Marina was introduced in 2014 (a few days prior to the Olympic Games).
Currently it can host up to 300 yachts (with LOA up to 80 meters).
Being a shelter port safe winter berthing is available. Perfect location
(right in the heart of old Sochi), popular restaurants and expensive boutique
are attracting Russian nobilities, politicians, pop-stars, who can be
met easily straight on the docking positions.
The epicenter of events
Sochi Grand Marina has become the epicenter of social events, sporting events and spectacular regattas. It is here that hosts the annual exhibition of yachts and boats «Sochi Yacht Show», Russia stages the largest sailing event – the National Sailing League.

Longest port in Sochi
Imeretinskiy port is located right in the heart of the Olympic village.
It’s just a walking distance from the coastal part of Olympic park
and Formula 1 race track. The port can offer convenient berthing
for yachts up to 150 meters length.
Reconversion from cargo port (which was used a main Olympic cargo gates)
has started in 2014. Within last years port has hosted several cruise vessels,
sailing training ships and the biggest yachts ever entered Russia.
